Our Past

On November 1, 2003 Meredith Haugen and her mother, Glenda Haugen purchased the Center of Fashion, an existing consignment store in Moorhead, MN. The business out grew the space and in 2013 the store moved to the South Park Center, 1617 32nd Ave S. Fargo, ND. The added space enabled the business to add many more items from more consignors. On October 1, 2021 Jennifer Fischer became the new owner of My Best Friend’s Closet.

Lora Larson and her husband Jacob Lunski purchased the business for JLFisher LLC on July 1st of 2025 and hope to continue the legacy of high quality sustainable fashion for years to come. 

Our Present

The store is managed on a day to day basis by Lora Larson with the support of her husband Jacob Lunski. It is a team effort to run the business and to maintain our space to make it a safe and appealing place for our customers to shop. When not working in or on the store we live a quiet life at home with our bestest boy Barkley and love eating out at locally owned restaurants like Mezzaluna.
